We will consider all applicants with various payroll titles:  Payroll Specialist, Payroll Coordinator, Payroll Administrative Assistant, Payroll Administrator, Payroll Associate, Payroll Clerk, Payroll Accountant, Payroll Technician, Payroll Lead, Payroll Analyst, Payroll Assistant Manager or Payroll Manager and you are interested in a position with a lot of responsibility, we will look forward to receiving your application and resume.  Our Corporate office is in Olathe, KS.

  • Have you processed payroll for more than 1,000 employees?  Our current employee base is 2,500 with additional growth expectations!
  • Do you have experience with Union payrolls?
  • Do you have experience with state employment taxes for Missouri, Kansas and many other states?

  • Directly team with 2 payroll associates who have handled payroll at Pace for over 10 years each
  • Complete responsibility for timely and accurate accumulation and processing of payroll for all exempt and non-exempt employees; currently over 2,000 with anticipated growth projections
  • Being relied upon for executing interfaces between Ultipro and the company’s ERP system, as well as executing outbound vendor interfaces and data entry and system updates in Ultipro HRIS system

  • Work business hours Monday through Friday 

Position Overview:

  • Review of the weekly or bi-weekly payroll time data, employee maintenance, tax information, direct deposit, new hire and terminated employee processing
  • Maintain accurate employee data in Ultipro HRIS system
  • Coordinate with Department Supervisors/Managers to ensure timely and accurate reporting of hours to be paid
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of employee garnishments, ensuring proper withholding and remittance to appropriate agencies
  • Prepare and issue manual checks and same day wire transfers as required
  • Prepare required monthly, quarterly and annual reports including, 401(k) reconciliations, and tax reconciliation
  • Work as a member of cross-functional team on projects related to system upgrades for Ultipro and ADP
  • Write and run reports as required using Ultipro Reporting
  • Strong understanding of Federal and State laws as they relate to both income tax withholding and labor regulations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) years of related multi-state payroll experience, Utipro and ADP applications preferred
  • Prior experience with having a role in new systems implementation, including the testing phase
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential information
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor or Associate Degree in Accounting or Business related field, or equivalent payroll department experience
  • CPP certification preferred
