Job Description

Overhead Door Company of Atlanta is seeking a Department Manager with a strong construction background to actively manage our residential installation field team. If you have influenced positive revenue growth in the construction/building material or service industries, managed the day to day activities of a busy department and successfully hired, trained and developed staff, we encourage you to apply.

 Position Overview:

  • Lead and oversee field activity associated with efficiently, effectively and profitably handling all Installation jobs in our new construction department
  • Manage and improve operational processes and procedures with the objective of providing maximum profit and return with as much emphasis on customer satisfaction and return business
  • Hire, train and develop new employees; improve individual performance through daily coaching, monthly P&L and Scorecard reviews and yearly performance reviews
  • Effective lead meetings, set performance expectations and hold employees accountable
  • Communicate with customers to develop sales opportunities and/or solve problems
  • Follow up with contractors and home owners to ensure excellent customer service is provided.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience managing personnel; preferably with a construction, building materials or service organization, specifically building products and/or construction equipment rental industry
  • Possess an ability for technical applications, mechanical systems and problem solving
  • Must enjoy a high level of activity in a hands-on environment where there is an emphasis on meeting deadlines and providing unmatched customer service
