Job Description

DH Pace Company aspires to hire an Account Manager in our Olathe, KS office. This position will have the responsibility of leading, coaching, training, and motivating a team of Account/Project Coordinators within our National Accounts Division. As an Account Manager, you will work in conjunction with your direct reports to ensure they are meeting National clients' work order needs while serving as the primary face and voice with the clients.

Position Overview:

  • Provide leadership and general management of Account/Project Coordinators including quality performance monitoring, improving processes, and development of employees
  • Develop, manage, and implement operational process and procedure improvements to decrease costs and increase profitability
  • Work with Operations Management Team to establish operating budgets and action plans to meet those objectives
  • Conduct employee performance reviews, document performance issues, and provide necessary employee counseling with targeted improvement action plans
  • Hire, train, develop, review, evaluate and measure employee performance against company goals and standards
  • Develop relationships with our National Account Customers, seek feedback and provide updates, ensure their problems are resolved timely, and conduct follow-up tasks
  • Manage operational activities of several accounts and interacting with key leadership contacts of our customers to build strong relationships
  • Foster a cooperative working climate conducive to maximizing employee morale and productivity, while continuing to deliver quality customer service; evaluate workflow prior to distributing additional special projects
  • Work closely with our strategic partners and internal service team members in establishing and adhering to service level agreements
  • Ensure team members are following administrative procedures and processes for the management of service requests and projects
  • Ensure team is communicating consistently with customers to keep them informed of the status of all work orders
  • Monitor and review all service performance of team members as it relates to meeting quality standards and customer expectations
  • Lead team in determining innovative solutions to all issues
  • Maintain and promote a positive attitude toward customers and employees


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of direct management / peer management experience preferred with a minimum of 5 years of total work experience
  • Detail-oriented team player with strong work ethic
  • Must have proven experience in a fast paced environment, juggling a lot of responsibility, with attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • An ability to develop relationships and hold employees accountable for performance objectives
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the customer and represent the company in a professional manner
  • Previous analytical experience identifying trends and recommending solutions on a national scale
  • Prefer experience in the Service Industry where there was a focus on service, sales and cost control.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access and Outlook a must
  • Knowledge of multiple types of doors/door hardware/dock equipment (or a similar industry) preferred, but not required
